Our Lokta Paper Sheets are handmade in Nepal using the inner bark of the Daphne Papyracea plant, sustainably harvested from the Himalayan foothills. Naturally strong, acid-free, and biodegradable, Lokta paper is celebrated for its durability, earthy elegance, and ability to hold color and texture beautifully.

✧ Varieties & Characteristics

• Colors:
  Available in natural earth tones, soft pastels, and vivid, deep hues—custom dyed using plant-based or AZO-free pigments. Each sheet retains a warm, organic undertone from the Lokta fiber itself.

• Grammage (Thickness):
  Offered in a variety of weights, from 25 GSM (light and translucent) to 200 GSM (sturdy and structural). Thinner sheets are ideal for calligraphy, wrapping, and interleaving, while heavier sheets are perfect for bookbinding, luxury packaging, or fine stationery.

• Textures:

  • Raw/Unpressed: Naturally fibrous with an irregular, handmade finish. Great for rustic crafts and visual arts.

  • Smooth/Pressed: Polished surface suitable for screen printing, digital printing, and fine writing.

  • Floral Infused (e.g., Marigold Lokta): Embedded with real flower petals like marigold, bougainvillea, or wild fern, creating a tactile, organic aesthetic for premium packaging, gift wraps, or decorative use.
